I don't know what I would do without my family and friends! Here you see my beautiful nieces wearing CrookedfingerArt. My own three daughters, many friends, my Mom and her Hubby, my Sister in law and her Husband, and even one of my daughters soon to be in laws have all been supportive in buying and wearing my creations.
I work alone in my space making art that makes me smile and allows me to experiment. How anyone else will receive it doesn't come into the picture until I've finished the work, photographed it and begun the process of figuring out what to do with it.
Taking the creative process from a mess in my studio space to a T shirt, mug, cushion, or piece of wall art is a wonderful adventure that I embark on by myself hoping to bring a little bit of sunshine to others. I want my work to be different. Different than other artists work you see as you scan the listings on Etsy or Ebay or on any other Artists site. I am in the process of becoming me and watching my art evolve. I am excited to think of my funky Ugly Angels or my tongue in cheek mixed media pieces adorning people that I don't know in places I have never been!
I guess what I am trying to say is that I am grateful. Grateful for my life, my experiences, my love of color, my art, my husband, my family, my friends and very grateful for YOU! You..who have taken the time to stop by and take a look at my work and yes, even purchase if you are moved to do so. So grateful for you. You validate and support me even though you may never meet me and I Thank You for that!
A quote I found on Pinterest reads; "I woke up. I have clothes to wear. I have running water. I have food to eat. Life is good. I am thankful." I would like to add....I have art supplies. I have time to work. I have lots of love in my life. I have family and friends. I have you. I am truly blessed!
Thanks for stopping by!
